Kabarett Beyond Borders

By John Wharton

Frans Bloem award winning cabaret artist from Holland and New York returns to San Miguel with his show Kabarett Beyond Borders, this time with a special guest and accompanied by the Uriel Orozco Band. Singing in 5 languages from Paris to Shanghai, Frans is famed for his unrivaled interpretation of chansonnier Charles Aznavour, who personally authorized him to sing his classics. Cabaret Scene writes of Frans, “...a riveting show with a passion that binds the audience to him.”

Please join us for an unforgettable evening of authentic European ‘kabarett’! Frans Bloem: "Kabarett Beyond Borders" - Tickets available at the Biblioteca and online at www.sheltervg4.com.

March 18 & 19: Zoe Lewis. One of Shelter’s favorite musicians is back with the most ‘feel-good’ show ever! Zoe Lewis’ style ranges from vintage jazz, gypsy swing, Latin grooves, international folk and funk originals on everything from piano to the spoons.

Winner of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Folks Festival “Troubadour Award” in 2003, “New Folk Winner” 2002 at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas and 2001 Falconridge Folk Festival “Audience Favorite”, Zoe is in high demand on the international circuit, having toured with Judy Collins, the Indigo Girls, Richie Havens, even opening for Pat Benetar on the ukulele.
A high-energy, full-of-heart show that hearkens back to the vaudeville era, Zoe puts a smile on anyone who hears her play. “Probably the most charismatic performance I've ever seen.” says ACCESLINE magazine.
