3 Openings at Bellas Artes

The Cultural Center “El Nigromante” of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA), is pleased to invite you to the opening of their new art exhibitions, next Friday, October 20 at 7 pm.

For the Cultural Center, it is vitally important to present the work of local, national, and international artists who enrich the cultural life of San Miguel de Allende. Therefore, and to close the annual cycle of the wonderful cycles of exhibitions that have been carried out throughout the year, we will have the proposal of three artists who clearly demonstrate this diversity.

Donnie Simeone, American artist and resident of San Miguel de Allende presents us her show “Umbilicus”; a series of drawings worked in charcoal, with such a mastery, that reflects not only her personality, but a life dedicated to art, and her trajectory in the pursuit for the voluptuousness and the latent femininity in the form, in the volume and in the provocation that the drawing allows.

Mexican photographer and close friend of the San Miguel community, Alessandro Bo, brings us his collection “Smail”, made in, by and for San Miguel de Allende. This exhibition shows a new face and a very different interpretation of the daily life in our beautiful town. With characters – known by many of us – portrayed in their intimacy, random scenes, and landscapes, he leads us through a journey that goes from irony to reflection about the multiple universes that constitutes San Miguel.

To complete this exhibition cycle, in relation to the Mexico-Colombia Dual Year, we are proud to present the work of the Colombian artist Darío Ortiz. Recognized as one of the greatest exponents of Latin American neo-realism, Darío Ortiz presents “With the soul in the paper”, a selection of: charcoals, pastels, gouaches, watercolors, and engravings.

We hope to have your presence to discuss, explore and celebrate the opening of these three magnificent exhibitions. They will be open to the public until January 20, 2018. Admission is free, Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.

El Centro Cultural “El Nigromante” del Instituto Nacional de Bellas artes (INBA), se complace en invitarle a la inauguración de sus próximas exposiciones artísticas, el próximo viernes 20 de octubre a las 7 pm.

Para el Centro Cultural es de vital importancia presentar la obra de artistas locales, nacionales e internacionales que enriquezcan la vida cultural de San Miguel de Allende.  Por ello, y con el objeto de cerrar el ciclo anual de los maravillosos ciclos de exposiciones que se han llevado a cabo a lo largo del año, contaremos en esta ocasión con la propuesta de tres artistas que demuestran esta diversidad.

Donnie Simeone, artista norteamericana y residente de San Miguel de Allende nos presenta “Umbilicus”, una serie de dibujos trabajados en carboncillo, con una maestría tal, que reflejan claramente no sólo su personalidad, sino una vida dedicada al arte y su trayectoria en búsqueda de la voluptuosidad y la feminidad latente en la forma, en el volumen y en la provocación que permite el dibujo.

Fotógrafo mexicano y amigo entrañable de la comunidad sanmiguelense, Alessandro Bo, nos trae su colección “Smail”, realizada en, por y para San Miguel de Allende. En esta exposición muestra una nueva cara y una interpretación muy diferente sobre de la vida cotidiana de nuestro bello pueblo. Con personajes -conocidos por muchos de nosotros- retratados en su intimidad, escenas aleatorias y paisajes, que nos llevan por un recorrido que va de la ironía a la reflexión sobre los múltiples universos que conforman a San Miguel.

Para completar este ciclo expositivo, en relación con el Año Dual México-Colombia, nos enorgullece presentar la obra del artista colombiano Darío Ortiz. Reconocido como uno de los más grandes exponentes del neo-realismo latinoamericano, Darío Ortiz muestra “Con el alma en el papel”, una selección de: carboncillos, pasteles, gouaches, acuarelas y grabados.

Esperamos contar con su presencia para juntos dialogar, explorar y celebrar la apertura de estas tres magníficas exhibiciones. Estarán abiertas al público hasta el 20 de enero del 2018. La entrada es gratuita, de lunes a sábado de 10 am a 6 pm y domingos de 10 am a 2 pm.
