Duo Apaixonado: James Bailey, Alfredo Muro - concert

San Miguel's 'winter season' always includes many events that benefit tourists, locals and non-profits. One of the more exciting events to start the new year will be a world-class concert by internationally known Peruvian-born guitarist Alfredo Muro and his accompanying American cellist, James Bailey. The two talented musicians will bring their "Duo Apaixonado" to San Miguel with an expected sold out event On Saturday, January 20th, 6:30pm at St. Paul's Church, Calzada de Cardo #6,. This will be Muro's first performance for 2018 in Mexico.

The concert will benefit the Rural Education Institute, whose goal is to level the playing field in education, so that rural kids can have the same opportunities as their urban counterparts. Rural Ed sends skilled, international interns from all over the world into rural community centers to mentor and facilitate programs in literacy, computer skills, and English to kids ages 8-18 to raise the bar for their families for generations to come.
