The Bird In Me Wants To Sing - closing

"The Bird In Me Wants to Sing" is work that is lyrical, poetic, always textural, often spiritual, hovering between material and ethereal. This exhibition also introduces her as the first artist-in-residence at the Artspace. She brings with her some of the art she created last year at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, 2017 in a six-month art residency, which led to her inclusion in the First International Paper Exhibit in Shanghai. Paper dresses, shoes, drawings, prints, and paintings will be collaged for wall installations, representing the breadth and depth of experimentation while on that journey.
