Mujeres en Cambio is pleased to announce a spectacular event, La Crème De La Femme, highlighting the incredible women chefs of San Miguel. The occasion will be a tasting event on Thursday, November 30, from 3-5 p.m. at a picturesque Italian villa in the countryside of San Miguel.
San Miguel has recently been recognized worldwide as a destination for excellent cuisine. One of the main reasons for this is that women chefs are taking over the restaurant kitchens and opening their own restaurants. Mujeres en Cambio is all about improving the lives of young women and we are pleased to recognize the successes of these women in the culinary field.
Chefs, cooks, caterers, cooking instructors and women who love to cook will provide the food. There will be music and activities including tequila tasting, a raffle, rug hooking demonstration and sales, and enjoying the wonderful San Miguel weather and beautiful views. The day promises to be one of delicious food, fun and relaxation. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the ‘Crème de la Femme’ of San Miguel and raise funds for our extensive scholarship program.
Tickets are 500 pesos and are available at the following locations: Tesoros at the Biblioteca, Insurgentes 25; Solutions Mail Service, Recreo 11; and Abrazos Boutique, Zacateros 24. Directions to the event will be available with your ticket purchase.
Mujeres en Cambio is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to underserved young women in and around the San Miguel area. We are currently supporting 174 young women in secondary and university and for the first time, a mother of one of our students has chosen to return to high school and continue on to university. We are very proud to be able to help her achieve her goals. Mujeres en Cambio is an all-volunteer organization so there are no staff costs and 95% of all funds raised goes toward scholarships.
