Maudie, JC3 Film Series

The movie that we will be screening is MAUDIE. It is abouttheself taught artist Maudie Lewis. The actors who play the two main characters are Sally Hawkins and Ethan Hawk. It is a dramatic display or artist talents from both of them involving the ability to develop real human and interesting characters from closed people. The story is about a Nova Scotia woman who works as a housekeeper while she hones her skills as an artist and eventually becomes independent and beloved by many. There are a few what we might call caveman moments where a strange tenderness emerges. As usual, the best stories are the true ones.
 
Wine,cheese and cake will be served.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or calling 185 9191 for reservations during office hours, Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
