The Souper Bowl Comes To San Miguel

On Thursday, January 25 at 2 PM, some of San Miguel’s best chefs and cooks will gather at Casa de la Noche, Organos 19, to provide an array of delicious soups that will definitely awaken your appetite and calm your hunger.

We’ll have vegetable soups, cream soups, chicken soups, chilies, international flavors, and more. There will be a topping bar so you can personalize your soup just the way you like it. There will be lots of fun and food, but there will not be any football!

WHY SOUP? The pioneer French chef, restaurateur and culinary writer Auguste Escoffier said, "Soup puts the heart at ease, calms down the violence of hunger, eliminates the tension of the day, and awakens and refines the appetite." For many of us soup is a pleasant childhood memory. Our mothers gave us soup when we were sick and to make us feel safe and warm on a cold wet night. For all of us, soup is still comforting and healing, but most importantly, soup is meant for sharing with friends and family.

Tickets, which cost 500 pesos in person or $27.50 via PayPal, include all the soup you can eat and one complimentary wine, beer or soft drink. See you at the Souper Bowl!
