Ojala Niños Benefit - party

The children in the rural community of San Miguel Viejo come to free daily afternoon classes offered by the non-profit called OJALA NIÑOS. They always seem to be happy…smiling and sprinting to see what awaits them every time. Then I notice their feet, and am amazed that they are so joyful, when their shoes are old, broken, and clearly don’t fit properly.
This year, the staff of Ojala Niños will be giving every one of our children a brand new pair of shoes for 3 King’s Day – on January 6! That’s the time when the children in Mexico receive their gifts from the Maggi. We need new shoes for 70-80 children – all sizes.
On Sunday, November 26, from 2-5 in the afternoon, there will be a benefit party at the beautiful home of Ron Lenox and Kiko Rodriguez in the Barrio de Aldea. This will be your opportunity to help us reach our goal of a new pair of shoes for many happy, deserving children!
There will also be art on display that is available for purchase. All proceeds will fund new shoes.
