Workshop at the Toy Museum
Looking for a memorable moment in San Miguel ?
In one of San Miguel de Allende's unique treasures, The Toy Museum is offering a special treat. In a remarkable setting of vintage toys, one can join a group of like-minded folk in a workshop assembling one's own personal miniature toy shop.
With material supplied by The Toy Museum, one gets a metal shadow box or "nicho", in the form of a toy shop, plus a bundle of miniature furniture pieces, dolls, bowls, pinatas, guitars, sarapes and more, all to be set as one chooses in a toy shop of one's own design.
As a guide and mentor to this whimsical workshop, The Toy Museum has invited Ruth Shine, who is known in San Miguel, Lima and Montreal, as an avid collector of folk art, especially miniatures that can fit into "nichos" or shadow boxes.
So join a small group of like- minded people on March 2nd, from 10 to 5, at The Toy Museum, 40 calle Nuñez, corner of San Francisco, in the Zona Centro. Please register soon as space is limited. Cost $85 USD or $1600 pesos (all materials included ).
