Flamenco group made up of dancers, musicians and singers who are part of the San Miguel de Allende World Music Festival whose artistic direction is in charge of Ángela García “la yerbabuena”, choreographer and dancer, trained in Mexico City and based in San Miguel de Allende since 1997, founder of the school «La cueva del Duende» (flamenco academy in SMA); that has been presented in cultural and commercial forums as well as in private events throughout the state of Guanajuato and Querétaro for more than 20 years with the collaboration in the musical direction of
Víctor Monterrubio director of «central percussion» and the teacher and bailaor from Celaye, Alfredo Enríquez.
The group has both tablao and theater shows always with live music and professional artists; among them the singer Alberto Solís, the singer Esther Asulito, and the guitarist Juan Rosas; as well as the dancers Arlene Nájera, Beatriz Oliver and Ana Daniela Alcalá.
The group intends to spread flamenco with a personal touch from its proudly Mexican members, since this art is patrimony not only of Spain but also of our mestizo culture.
Flamenco Sketches is a dance, song and live music show that leads the viewer through the different flamenco styles. The bulería a palo seco where mastery of the compás and tapping exalts the senses; the sweetness of the sevillanas, the depth of the farruca and the energetic intensity of the tientos and the Bambera that undoubtedly transforms both the performer and the observer, and the magic of the Alegrías, a traditional palo from Cádiz.
These Flamenco Sketches are intended to give the public a staging full of colour, joy, dramatization and mastery so that, in addition to being immersed in flamenco culture, they can experience together with the artists that mysterious dimension that sustains flamenco.

Grupo flamenco conformado por bailaores, músicos y cantaores que forman parte del festival de música del Mundo de San Miguel de Allende, cuya dirección artística está a cargo de Ángela García “la yerbabuena”, coreógrafa y bailaora, formada en la ciudad de México y radicada en San Miguel de Allende desde 1997, fundadora de la escuela “La cueva del Duende” (academia de flamenco en SMA); que se ha presentado en foros culturales y comerciales así como en eventos particulares en todo el estado de Guanajuato y Querétaro desde hace más de 20 años con la colaboración en la dirección musical de
Víctor Monterrubio director de “percusión central” y del maestro y bailaor Celayense Alfredo Enríquez.
El grupo cuenta con espectáculos tanto de tablao como de teatro siempre con música viva y artistas profesionales; entre ellos el cantaor Alberto Solís, la cantaora Esther Asulito, y el guitarrista Juan Rosas; así como las bailaoras Arlene Nájera, Beatriz Oliver y Ana Daniela Alcalá.
El grupo pretende difundir el flamenco con un toque personal de sus integrantes orgullosamente mexicanos, ya que dicho arte es patrimonio no solo de España sino de nuestra cultura mestiza.
Flamenco Sketches es un espectáculo de baile, cante y música en vivo que conduce al espectador por los distintos palos flamencos. La bulería a palo seco donde el dominio del compás y del taconeo exalta los sentidos; la dulzura de las sevillanas, la profundidad de la farruca y la intensidad energética de los tientos y la Bambera que sin lugar a dudas transforma tanto al ejecutante como al observador, y la magia de las Alegrías, palo tradicional proveniente de Cádiz.
Estos bocetos flamencos pretenden regalar al público una puesta en escena llena de color, alegría, dramatización y maestría para que además de tener una inmersión en la cultura flamenca, experimente junto a los artistas esa dimensión misteriosa que sostiene al flamenco.
