This photographic presentation on Japan aims to showcase the beauty and mystery of Japanese culture, as well as offer quick and useful photographic tips and techniques for those who plan to visit Japan in the future.

This presentation will take the participant on a photographic journey throughout the main Japanese island of Honshu, doing a circle from Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Kyoto, Nagano, and back to Tokyo.

Mark Hemmings is a professional travel and street photographer, who began his career in the late 1990′s when working on feature films and movies as a ‘stills’ and location photographer.

His work broadened to include international travel photography jobs which had him photographing in Asia and Eastern Europe. In 1999 Mark moved to Japan for a year to learn advertising photography, and that year proved pivotal in shaping his lighting style and how he approaches photography within the context of advertising.

In 2004 he developed his skills as a photography workshop instructor, teaching people how to create better photographs in such diverse places as Mexico, England, Japan, Korea, Hungary, and Romania/Transylvania.

Mark is also a published author, having written two books for Wiley Publishing titled “iPhone Photography For Dummies” and “Android Smartphone Photography for Dummies”.
