San Miguel de Allende self-guided historical walking tour by Natalie Taylor

This is not, stricly speaking, a history book. There is not chronological listing of events, recording the beginnings and growth of the city. Instead, I hope that the fascinating bits and pieces that make up this book, will form a cohesive whole and flash out much of the story of San Miguel.

Natalie Taylor, born to Ukranian parents, grew up in Argentina, where her family fled after WWII. They eventually moved to the U.S., where she spent more of her adult life. In 2018, she and her husband move to SMA and are permanent residents here. She has always pursued the writing life and has a MFA in creative writing from Vermont Collegue, Montpelier, VT. Her short stories and poetry have been published in numerous literary magazines and she has received several literary awards. Currently in San Miguel, she has a weekly column in the city’s local, bilingual newspaper Atención, for which she also does translations from Spanish to English.
