There are currently two weekly walks.

On Wednesdays we walk through Colonia San Antonio starting at 9:00 am. The walk is about 6 kilometers long and takes around 2.5 hours. In this time we will see dozens of different murals by several Mexican artists. Mask and Social distancing required.

Join us Wednesdays for the Fat Bastard Art Walks through Colonia San Antonio including the underpass of murals. Let’s get out of the house and see the murals and other public art that decorate the streets of San Miguel de Allende and become more familiar with various neighborhoods of our city.

We will start the walk at 9:00 am every Wednesday at the entrance to El Barrio de la Aldea close to the Cafe Monet.

----

On Saturday at 9:00, we walk through San Rafael, Santa Julia and Independencia. The walk is about 2 hours and 5 kilometers. Again, there are dozens of murals to see.

Saturdays we meet in the El Paton plaza on Avenida Guadalupe. It is at the north end of those new giant arches

----

Note that I am not an artist, nor am I a critic. I am only a lover of Mexican murals and have walked nearly every street in the city to find them. This is not a tour but rather a social walk to see the beauty of this city.

These walks will be in collaboration with the Accredited Tour Guides of San Miguel, Gasma @Gasmaguiassma. Get the real history of San Miguel by using the Experts on San Miguel history, the Accredited Tour Guides. Don’t settle for someone making things up.

Understand that the art walk may be warm with hills to climb and some difficult roads so be prepared with good shoes and drinking water. The entire walk will be about 3 miles or 5 kilometers. Masks and social distancing required. Let’s still be careful.

The walk is free to attend, however, we will accept voluntary donations where every peso will support the artists and their craft. They are giving us so much. It’s time for us to give back.

Here is a link to the google map with nearly every public art work that I have found for your own adventures.
