The event will take place on sunday, august 8th, in san miguel’s teatro santa ana. this concert celebrates the yearly reunion held by these three musicians, who have come together to reflect on commonly shared questions that are profoundly artistic in their conception: how to capture y nature’s overflowing beauty, and how to translate that creative endeavor into harmoniously arranged sounds.

Leonardo prakash (sitar), Santiago Bartolomé (trumpet and flugelhorn) and Fede Díaz (guitar and composition) have been -for some years now- collaborating on several musical projects, while continuing to develop as soloists. these artists reside in different parts of latin america and are constantly performing in many international music festivals.

prakash spends much of his time between the city of san luis de potosí (his hometown) and travelling the world, constantly touring on a variety of international stages so as to perfect his craft. bartolomé is from córdoba, argentina. the time he spends with the state’s orchestra is usually followed by a season of travelling with the purpose of completing previously undertaken musical and photographical projects. díaz is also from córdoba, argentina. after completing a specialty in guitar, díaz flew to the mexican caribbean where he´s been residing for over 10 years. since he left córdoba, díaz has been dedicated to refining his compositions and making these projects evolve into live performances that bring together collaborating artists from all around the world.

Their first single, alcondor is the result of a mexico-argentina collaboration. alcondor is a musical show that was first conceived in the mexican caribbean at the beginning of the pandemic. it comprises a repertoire of collaborative and soloist works. the intrinsic relation between these artists and their origin stories, along with the experiences they have gathered along the way permeates on each of the musical performances with rhythmical influences that originate from: south america, the middle east, and some afro -cuban cultures. the rare acoustic interaction between the trumpet (sb), sitar (lp) and guitar (fd) produces a unique musical effect on each of the pieces. some of these works were the result of pure improvisation. other ones, with time, have matured enough to be written into symphonies.

The trio will embark on a short tour of mexico´s central valley that will culminate back in the mayan riviera. they will be on stage at private concerts and in theaters, while continuing to develop their own personal projects. this ensemble has come together with the shared purpose of continuing to refine its craft while producing new and original musical ideas. these ideas find their truest form of expression the moment they are shared on stage with you, and are thus propagated.

En esta ocasión, el día domingo 8 de agosto a las 5 pm, se presentarán en el teatro santa Ana de San Miguel de Allende. este será el reencuentro anual en México de estos artistas, quienes entre tantas, comparten un par de inquietudes: “¿cómo expresar la belleza que desborda la naturaleza? y ¿cómo lograr traducir estas sensaciones con los sonidos?”.
Leonardo Prakash (sitar), Santiago Bartolomé (trompeta y fluguelhorn) y Fede Díaz (guitarra y composición) colaboran desde hace algunos años en diversos proyectos, en conjunto y como solistas. estos artistas residen en distintas partes de latinoamérica y constantemente realizan giras internacionales, presentándose en diferentes escenarios, festivales y teatros.

l.prakash transita entre san luis de potosí (su tierra natal), y giras internacionales. s. bartolomé es de córdoba, argentina, y él combina sus días de orquesta sinfónica estatal, con viajes por el mundo, desarrollando sus proyectos de cámara y colaborando con otros músicos. f. díaz es un músico cordobés, que después de completar su especialidad en guitara, brincó al caribe mexicano, lugar donde lleva mas de 10 años radicado. desde entonces, díaz se dedica a la composición y presentación de sus proyectos en vivo, colaborando con artistas de todo el mundo en diversos escenarios.

De esta colaboración México-argentina nace el primer sencillo alcondor. alcondor es un espectáculo musical creado en el caribe mexicano a comienzos de la pandemia, el cual se compone de un repertorio de colaboraciones en conjunto, además de incluir obras de cada artista. la relación intrínseca que comparte el músico con sus raíces y las experiencias recolectadas a lo largo de los años, harán sentir en estas piezas la influencia de ritmos sudamericanos, latinoamericanos, de medio oriente y afro descendientes. para hacer diversa esta propuesta, la interacción acústica poco frecuente de trompeta, sitar y guitarra, le brinda a cada obra un sentido propio y original. algunas de estas piezas nacen de la improvisación y otras, que con el tiempo han adquirido madurez, han sido adaptadas para orquestas sinfónicas.

Este trío realizará una pequeña gira por el centro del país y la riviera maya, realizando conciertos privados en teatros, además de producciones auto gestionadas, con el fin de seguir siempre difundiendo la música original. el camino de estos músicos los ha llevado siempre por un sendero compartido, que es el de refinar su arte. por lo mismo, su misión es la de seguir generando nuevas ideas, registrarlas y difundirlas.
