El Cascanueces, basado en un cuento de Hoffmann y compuestos por el gran Tchaikovsky, cuenta la historia de dos hermanos, Clara y Fritz. El día de navidad el padrino de Clara, Dorsselmayer, le regala a su sobrina tres cajas con tres regalos diferentes: un arlequín, una colombina y un gran cascanueces. Su hermano, celoso, rompe el cascanueces. El sobrino de Drosselmayer repara el juguete y se lo entrega a la niña. Durante la noche ella se levanta a ver el cascanueces, lo abraza y entonces todo crece, crea vida a su alrededor, llevándola a un mundo mágico.

The Nutcracker, based on a story by Hoffmann and composed by the great Tchaikovsky, tells the story of two brothers, Clara and Fritz. On Christmas day Clara's godfather, Dorsselmayer, gives her niece three boxes with three different gifts: a harlequin, a columbian and a great nutcracker. His brother, jealous, breaks the nutcracker. Drosselmayer's nephew repairs the toy and gives it to the girl. During the night she gets up to see the nutcracker, hugs him and then everything grows creates life around her, taking her to a magical world.
