Marketing 101 for Creatives - workshop

In this 2.5 hour workshop, go from clueless to confident in learning how to use Instagram and Email Marketing to build community and sell your work.

The first part of the workshop we'll do a deep dive into the Instagram platform and discuss why this social media tool is so powerful. We'll learn how to build & connect to your community from scratch and create engaging posts. Through a series of exercises, you'll learn how to show up as your authentic self and walk away with actionable steps to take your Instagram game to the next level.

The second part of the workshop, we talk Email Marketing! You'll learn what an email list is, why it's important and how to start one today (FOR FREE). We will explore case studies and learn specific ways to entice your community to join your list and take action on your offerings.

There will be plenty of time for Q & A and individualized attention. We'll be workshopping through your specific questions and concerns.

We will cap off the evening with an artist intention session around the fire led by artist Evelyne Pouget.

Meet Your Instructors:

- Greg Reitman

Greg is a gallery owner, video editor, artist and marketer living in San Miguel De Allende, MX. He started his career in NYC in the late 90's during the dot com boom bringing over 20 years experience in online marketing, branding and building online communities through social media.

He was an early adopter using Instagram when it launched starting a video art account @flyingblynd . In a short time, he built an engaging community of musicians from across the globe who took part in his collaborative project. The account led to large scale video art installations at music & art festivals as well as showing his work at galleries in NYC, LA and Mexico City.

After moving to San Miguel De Allende in 2018, Greg started yet another Instagram account, @yo.sanmigueldeallende where he interviewed local San Miguel artists and shared their work.

The project took off resulting in creating a thriving business in town named Yo San Miguel with a mission to lift up artists and help them connect to their community, opportunity and to their own greatness in a way that's never been done before.

Yo San Miguel's vision is to create an environment where artists across all disciplines feel excited about sharing, learning and immersing themselves in art together. This will be a gathering space, a communal hub and a place to showcase and promote one another in a unique and authentic way.

- Jessica Antonelli

Jessica is an award-winning art teacher who moved from Texas to San Miguel De Allende in 2014. She had zero connections and no idea where to find students when she arrived, but through trial and error in local PR, became the premiere art teacher for begining artists learning to draw in San Miguel.

The real breakthrough began when she started using an email list to stay in touch with her students so they could continue taking classes with her year after year and share her art stories and events.

Jessica has organized dozens of art openings and countless workshops in San Miguel and has grown a dedicated following through email marketing. She is excited to share what works and how to develop close relationships through the power of email.
