Doug Robinson Plays Well With Others - concert

Award winning composer and multi-instrumentalist Doug Robinson will present the fifth and most spectacular event in the history of his “Plays Well With Others” series.

Joining Doug will be Iraida Noriega, the extraordinary jazz vocalist from Mexico City, in her first San Miguel performance in almost two years. Doug and Iraida will perform with nine other outstanding jazz, funk and soul musicians from Mexico City, Monterrey, La Paz, the United States, and San Miguel de Allende.

The other performers include: Grammy Award-winner and trumpet maestro Terry Townson, who has performed with Ray Charles, Delbert McClinton, The Temptations, and Lena Horne; Iraida Noriega’s hot new band, LA Groovy, featuring drummer Jorge Servin, bassist Miguel “Chuck” Rodriguez, guitarist Juan Jo Lopez, and keyboardist Agus Ayala; and Robinson’s own Latin jazz band, Media Noche, featuring master percussionists VIctor Monterrubio and Mario Torres, along with bassist Rubén Olvera.
