Organ Festival

From October 27 to December 18, the 4th Organ Festival will be held in San Miguel de Allende. This edition is dedicated to RP Socorro Govea, priest of the Temple of the Oratory and great organist, most events are free.

The Festival was born in 2016, it is a 100% Sanmiguelense independent court event. The initiators are the Organist Masters, Josue Martinez and Ramiro Granados. In this edition Master Miguel Angel Espinosa is incorporated together with Master Ricardo Castro.

A festival is expected that incorporates not only musical, but also visual elements, 2 conferences on the instrument and the national premiere of a documentary by Maestro Alvaro Menéndez Granda from Spain will be held. As well as the series of traditional concerts with Mexican musicians and the participation of a foreign organist named Malcolm Halliday.

The Organ Festival is an event that focuses on the inclusion of ancient and contemporary music composed for organ and its variant instruments.

Del 27 de octubre al 18 de diciembre, el 4º Festival de Órganos se llevará a cabo en San Miguel de Allende. Esta edición está dedicada al RP Socorro Govea, sacerdote del Templo del Oratorio y gran organista, la mayoría de los eventos son gratuitos.

El Festival nació en 2016, es un evento de corte independiente 100% Sanmiguelense. Los iniciadores son los organistas maestros, Josue Martínez y Ramiro Granados. En esta edición se incorpora al maestro Miguel Angel Espinosa junto con el maestro Ricardo Castro.

Se espera un festival que incorpore no solo elementos musicales, sino también visuales, 2 conferencias sobre el instrumento y el estreno nacional de un documental del maestro Álvaro Menéndez Granda de España. Además de la serie de conciertos tradicionales con músicos mexicanos y la participación de un organista extranjero llamado Malcolm Halliday.

El Organ Festival es un evento que se centra en la inclusión de música antigua y contemporánea compuesta para órgano y sus instrumentos variantes.
