Show Synopsis: This summer youth performers will be premiering a bilingual urban musical adaptation of the classic Wizard of Oz story. The play features Dulce who lives with her family, friends and chihuahua named Tito in Mexico City. After a subway ride that wildly carries her off the tracks to a faraway whimsical land resembling San Miguel, Dulce meets and makes friends with some colorful characters. Among these characters include: entertainers with no audience, chefs with no imagination. and an old man in a biblioteca who can't read. This journey leads Dulce on a quest to see the Wizard of Oz to help her and her new-found friends. In the end, Dulce finds her way home singing about her home in the Mexican Sun.
