Former President Vicente Fox
Mexico and the U.S. After the U.S. Midterm Elections

i-3: Ideas that Inform and Inspire

Former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox returns to the i3 stage in San Miguel to offer his reflections on Mexico and the U.S. following the mid-term elections in the States. We have an unusual opportunity here in San Miguel to meet with Mr. Fox in a relatively intimate and personal setting. After his talk, he will answer questions from the audience.

President Fox has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump. He will bring us a perspective based on his long and distinguished political career. His election to the presidency in 2000 was historic, because it ended seventy-one years of rule by the PRI party. Fox’s administration is credited with economic growth and a significant reduction in the poverty rate.

President Fox’s first lecture here in San Miguel right after Trump was elected was a sold out event, and no one was disappointed. His lecture was filled with decisive opinions and was laced with humor, and he was gracious and generous in responding to questions. His second appearance here will be the fourteenth presentation by the San Miguel organization, i3: Ideas that Inform and Inspire – Conversations with Big Thinkers. The lecture series aims to bring distinguished speakers from a wide variety of disciplines to San Miguel throughout the year.

Reception for Patrons
Following the lecture, President and Mrs. Fox will be honored guests at a special reception for i3 patrons to be held at CRISMA, a short walk from the hotel. CRISMA (Centro de Rehabilitación Integral de San Miguel de Allende) provides rehabilitation services for underprivileged children and is a special project of the Fox Foundation. Mrs. Fox has promised to make informal remarks. Proceeds from the reception will benefit CRISMA.

Georgia Ede Event
The last program presented by i3 to a packed room was an eye-opener of a lecture by brain scientist Georgia Ede, who explained in lay language why Alzheimer’s disease is now widely considered to be Type III Diabetes. For those who missed her lecture, her website is fascinating and informative: www.diagnosisdiet.com.
