Alfredo Muro & Friends, Brazilian Music - concert

Música de San Miguel presents a Brazilian Music Tribute with the internationally acclaimed and amazing classical guitarist Alfredo Muro, a specialist in Latin-American guitar repertoire. Alfredo Muro's career as a musician has not stopped rising ever since he was 13 years old. Over the years he has performed throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. He is just returning from a tour in Japan and Asia. Mr. Muro was the featured artist at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in 2007, Organization of American States OAS as well as The Smithsonian Museum, representing Peru at The IV Ibero-American Guitar Festival. He performed at a special audience for the late Pope John Paul II at the Vatican.
Enjoy an evening of fiery, sensuous jazz-flavored music from the subtle Bossa Nova, to lively sambas, rhythmic choros, romantic samba-cancao, elegant Brazilian waltzes and powerful and dark Afro-sambas!!!

Ruben Olvera, bass, the most on-demand bass player in San Miguel, David Mendoza on violín, a very talented musician from Mexico City, who also is part of the San Miguel de Allende musical scene, Víctor Monterrubio, drummer and percusión player based on San Miguel since 2000 being part of many important projects from San Miguel de Allende.
The program to be performed at this concert belong to Brazilians composers such Baden Powell, A.C Jobim. Dorival Caimmy, Ernesto Nazareth, Pixinguinha, Irio de Paula. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy this excellent concert.
