The 6th Annual Festival of 10 Minute Plays, DIEZ MINUTOS 2018, opens Wednesday March 14th at the San Miguel Playhouse. This year's eight fully produced scripts, gleaned from 200 submissions include comedy, drama, romance, whimsy, and fantasy.

940 FEATHERS by Tim J. Brennan, directed by Dorothy Lyman, features Patricia Vanstone and Michael Gottlieb, as a long time couple who grapple with memories. Playwright Brennan's plays have been produced on stages across the United States.

YOGAFU by Alex Rubin, directed by Gina Giampaoli, stars Aliya Benabderrazak, Blu McKelvain and Charle Coleman in a sweet comedy about vetting a date. Mr. Rubin is a Francis Ford Coppola Award winner, and 85th Annual Writers Digest Award in Playwriting winner.

My Beautiful Voyage by Paul Lewis, directed by Lynn Rawden, presents Maggie Bunce and Jessica Lauren as ticket seller and buyer at the most eccentric bus station in the world. Paul's recent projects include The Names in Chicago, Seattle and Albuquerque, Caps for Sale, A Musical (Boston Children’s Theatre); Oblivion (Driftwood).

But That's Okay by Jenny Mead, directed by Kate Rowland, stars Clara Dunham, David Galitzky, and Peggy Powell in a whirlwind romance. Ms Mead's plays have been produced throughout the US. Jenny lives in Charlottesville where she is mother to a basset hound and writes business ethics case studies at the University of Virginia.

All Dogs Must Have People by Russell Sharman, directed by Lola Smith, features Anne Campbell and Gina Giampaoli in a sly mystery about dogs and men. Mr. Sharman's first play, SMALL OF HER BACK, was adapted for the screen in 2010.

Recalculating by Eugenie Carabatsos, directed by Paula Lopuch, presents Jill Gottlieb and Michael Gottlieb as a couple on the road with a capricious GPS Unit (Jessica Lauren) Eugenie's plays have won the Kennedy Center Harold and Mimi Steinberg National Student Playwriting Award. She graduated with her MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016.

A Dog's Dreams by Jeffrey Fischer Smith, directed by Lauren Osornio stars Clara Dunham and Mick Diener in a sweet drama about moving on. Jeffrey's plays have been produced throughout the world including the US, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, and the Philippines. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and The Playwrights’ Center.

I Was Fine Until You Came Into The Room by Rich Orloff, directed by Maggie Bunce, presents Kate Rowland, Chuck Rubin, Charlie Coleman and others in a charmer about a life together. Mr. Orloff is the author of 18 mostly award winning full-length plays. His short comedies have been published seven times in the annual Best American Short Plays, more than any other contemporary playwright.
