Is a Wrap, Rotary - talk

It's been quite a year at the Midday Rotary Club of San Miguel de Allende. Under the leadership of President Fred Collins, Midday Rotary has improved membership, Rotary Foundation contributions, started new, exciting projects and had a variety of dynamic speakers at the weekly meetings.

As Collins' year as President comes to a close, he will highlight these achievements. Six new members have joined Midday Rotary, each brining a unique talents to the club. Contributions to the Rotary Foundation have exceeded expectations and will come back to San Miguel threefold for our worthy projects.

Perhaps the most exciting are the signature projects of San Miguel's Midday Rotary. These include the new mobile library, dry composting toilets in the Ranchos, continued emphasis on rainwater cisterns, support for the hospice program and the school for deaf students. Tree plantings continue in the many parks throughout San Miguel de Allende in an answer to this year's Rotary International President, Ian Riseling's, request that one tree be planted for each Rotarian worldwide - 1.2 million trees to combat global warming. Midday Rotary planted two trees for every member of the local club.

Midday Rotary remains committed to having our programs continue to focus specifically on women's issues and other topics of interest. We hope this will attract more women to participate in Rotary activities and possibly join the club.

Come hear more about San Miguel de Allende's Midday Rotary Club, we invite you the presentation is Tuesday, June 26th at 12:00 PM at the Hotel Mission on Salida a Queretaro #1. Parking is free and the hotel is easily accessible by bus.
