2017 General Membership Meeting, Mujeres en Cambio

Mujeres en Cambio is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1995 to provide financial assistance to young girls in the rural communities surrounding San Miguel who would not otherwise be able to continue their education.  Our scholarship program makes it possible for a girl who is an excellent student and maintains a high GPA to continue her education—from secondaria (junior high school) and preparatoria (senior high school) through university. To qualify, the secundaria and preparatoria students have a minimum GPA of 8.0 and university students must maintain a minimum GPA of 8.5. For the 2017-2018 school year, MeC has granted 132 scholarships to girls in secondaria and preparatoria and granted 42 scholarships to university students.
