Gaiasophy Seminars

Gaiasophy (wisdom of the earth) Seminars will feature classes that will extend the conventional understanding of both the natural world and of human consciousness: from theory to practice, from local topography to dynamic geography, from ecology to economics, from science to spirituality. And as the word “Sophia” is a Greek feminine noun, these classes will be directed primarily to the phenomenological and qualitative; that is, they will proceed from wholes to parts. Classes will be held at via Organica, Calle Margarito Ledesma #2, Guadalupe (classroom upstairs) on the dates listed on next page. The cost is 200 pesos per class or 300 per day (2 classes). Each class stands alone but the whole series is strongly recommended. The goal: an imaginative picture of our place within the world.

Class # 1 “World History and the Evolution of Consciousness”

Recorded history represents a kind of symptomology of significant changes in human consciousness over time; that is, all the wars and political chinanigans represent either efforts to realize these changes, to embrace them, or to disrupt and impede these changes. And a study of art throughout history perhaps shows this changing consciousness most clearly. These presentations will explore these changes - in the past, the present and the future.

Presenter:
Robert Stewart, RS Hom CCH is a certified Waldorf high school teacher, who has taught art, history, geography, science, Shakespeare and creative writing in Waldorf schools throughout the USA, Russia and Mexico, His interest has been Goethean phenomenological science with studies in biodynamic agriculture, zoology, physiology and embryology.

He also had an active practice in classical homeopathy in New York City for 30 years, was past president of the New York Society of Homeopaths, was past vide-president of the North American Society of Homeopaths, wrote numerous articles for national journals, and was founder/director of the New York School of Homeopathy.
