Songwriters of SMA - concert

The first Songwriters of San Miguel show for this year is at Don Lupe’s on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 7-9pm. We've got a great mixture of new and familiar faces for this month's show. Performing will be:

--Dave Greenwald, who tells us he "was fortunate to come of age during the 50’s and 60’s when the Blues,Country, Jazz, R&B and Rock were mixed together to form a gumbo of stories, legends and dreams." Dave is a wonderful finger-stylist, slide player and just overall real-deal purveyor of Americana

Michael Duncan, who has co-written material with great writers in Nashville and has had his songs on the Adult Contemporary Charts (https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/mike; these are covers, but will give you an idea of his fine voice and guitar playing);

--Stephen Russell, who is a singer/songwriter, actor, director and playwright who hails from Massachusetts. He tells us he's "delighted to be playing once again at Don Lupe, where the lyrics to my song about this warm and welcoming restaurant and music venue can be found painted high on one wall inside"; and

--celebrating the recent completion of his year-long 2017 “Best of…..” nine-volume series, celebrating 30 years of recording his original music for release, San Miguel resident (by way of Austin) Walter Ehresman (https://walterehresman.bandcamp.com/).

No cover charge, but tipping is appreciated.

Come relax and share an intimate evening with songwriters performing their own material. All the artists are committed to creating an original music scene here to San Miguel, to match the fine scene our town has in the other areas of the Arts.
