Toyer, Playreaders - theater

by Gardner McKay

Playreaders will start its winter schedule of three performances with the December 5th, 6th and 7th production of Gardner McKay's exciting thriller Toyer.
Toyer is a mind game play. It is strong stuff. Reviewers described it as "riveting and breathtaking", "powerful" and "deeply disturbing". A two person thriller requires outstanding actors to maintain the tension all the way through, and that is exactly what audiences will be getting. Mick Diener and Gina Giampaoli Alderton, two of San Miguel's finest performers will be starring as Peter Matson and Maude Christopher, roles originally played on Broadway by Brad Davis and Kathleen Turner. Don Nieglos will be handling lights, and Lola Smith directs.

Attendance Note: Tickets will be sold at the door at 6:45 each evening on a first-come, first-served basis. All ticket holders must be present when the doors open at 7:00 or their seat may be resold. The play will begin at 7:30 or when the house is filled. Please consider attending early shows, especially opening night, or arriving by 6:30 to ensure seating on closing night.

Please remember to bring your clean plastic bags and put them in the box on the left of the door as you enter St. Paul's Parish Hall the evening you come to see this show. These bags are used to stuff ticking for mattresses that St. Paul's "Mattress Project" donates to the poor of our community.
