The Ballet Folklórico is turning 50, and we are celebrating! We’ll be giving free folkloric dance classes for young and not-so-young at Casa Europa México as part of the FASMA Festival. If you're in San Miguel, please join us: new dances, new costumes, new energy!
This performance pays tribute to Gloria Navarrete, who founded the Ballet in 1975 and sustained it through many ups and downs. With around 50 dancers — children, youth, adults — the group is a fluid, extended family united by a love for dance. Some members have been with the Ballet for years, others are new, but all share in its problems, successes, and joy.

¡El Ballet Folklórico cumple 50 años y estamos de fiesta! Ofreceremos clases gratuitas de danza folclórica para jóvenes y no tan jóvenes en Casa Europa México como parte del Festival FASMA. ¡Si estás en San Miguel, acompáñanos con nuevos bailes, nuevos trajes y nueva energía!
Este espectáculo rinde homenaje a Gloria Navarrete, quien fundó el Ballet en 1975 y lo mantuvo a flote en los altibajos. Con alrededor de 50 bailarines —niños, jóvenes y adultos— el grupo es una gran familia unida por el amor al baile. Algunos llevan años en el Ballet, otros son nuevos, pero todos comparten sus problemas, logros y alegrías.
