With the generous support of Operisima Mexico, The Children's Art Foundation is honored to present the famous opera, La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini, at the Teatro Ángela Peralta the evenings of October 9 & 10.
As sung in English "CHE GELIDA MANINA" became " "Your tiny hand is Frozen", and Is One of the World's Most Famous operatic Songs. Starts With One Note Nine Times repeated. It is Not entirely in Melody That Puccini's power lies. The Success Of la Bohème depends on a very Strong, Very distinctive harmonic Style and on a structural development which interweaves various strands symphonically, with Wagner-like concentration.
Puccini turned out a chain of operatic successes unequalled since his day that a young London music critic called Bernard Shaw in 1894 said: "Puccini looks to me more like the heir of Verdi than any of his rivals." The scene is set in Paris about 1830. In and around Cafe Momus, in the throbbing Latin Quarter. Imagine the place where philosophers and poets hang out. Starving but burning with passion for love and aspiring for the good of mankind. The cast of La Boheme characters are appropriately starving artists.
LA BOHEME was first performed in Turin, 1896 and will be brought to life in the theatre Angela Peralta of San Miguel de Allende, by OPERISIMA's young, award winning and hugely passionate singers of Mexico.

Con el generoso apoyo de Operisima Mexico, The Children's Art Foundation se honra en presentar la famosa ópera, La Bohème de Giacomo Puccini, en el Teatro Ángela Peralta las noches del 9 y 10 de octubre.
Como se canta en inglés "CHE GELIDA MANINA" se convirtió en "Tu pequeña mano está helada", y es una de las canciones de ópera más famosas del mundo. Comienza con una nota repetida nueve veces. No es enteramente en la melodía donde yace el poder de Puccini. El éxito de La Bohème depende de un estilo armónico muy fuerte y muy distintivo y de un desarrollo estructural que entreteje varias hebras sinfónicamente, con una concentración similar a la de Wagner.
Puccini produjo una cadena de éxitos operísticos inigualados desde su tiempo, tanto que un joven crítico musical londinense llamado Bernard Shaw dijo en 1894: "Puccini me parece más el heredero de Verdi que cualquiera de sus rivales."
