About Mariana
Mariana is a belly dance performer from San Miguel de Allende, Gto., specializing in tribal style, fusion, and tribal fusion. After studying at Libélula Estudio under Elsanne Barrows and with Kitzia Torres in León, she earned her Tribal Master Certification in 2022.
She has trained with internationally recognized dancers such as Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Rachael Redfern, Akasha Danz, and Aisha Aguirre. In 2023, she founded her academy, Tribu Buma, and currently teaches at Power Up Academy, CEDECOM, and Centro Nuevo Comienzo, Las Cuevitas.
Mariana also organizes the Belly Monster Fest, a festival devoted entirely to the underground belly dance scene, offering classes, performances, and a Gala Show.
Beyond dance, Mariana is a pianist and vocalist, having performed with projects such as the symphonic black metal band Order Ov Ascaroth. Her performances are known for their mysticism, sensuality, and gothic atmosphere, showcasing her belief that belly dance is more than joy — it’s an art of emotion and darkness.

Sobre Mariana
Mariana es una bailarina de danza árabe originaria de San Miguel de Allende, Gto., especializada en estilo tribal, fusión y tribal fusión. Comenzó sus estudios en Libélula Estudio con la reconocida maestra Elsanne Barrows y continuó su formación con Kitzia Torres en León, Gto. En 2022 obtuvo la certificación Tribal Master.
Ha tomado seminarios con maestras de renombre internacional como Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Rachael Redfern, Akasha Danz y Aisha Aguirre. En 2023 fundó su academia Tribu Buma y actualmente imparte clases en Power Up Academy, CEDECOM y Centro Nuevo Comienzo, Las Cuevitas.
Mariana es también la organizadora del Belly Monster Fest, un festival enfocado 100% en la escena underground de la danza árabe, donde bailarinas mexicanas y extranjeras pueden convivir, tomar clases y presentar un espectáculo de gala.
Además de bailarina, Mariana es música (pianista y vocalista). Ha participado en varios proyectos musicales, incluyendo la banda de black metal sinfónico Order Ov Ascaroth. Sus presentaciones se caracterizan por su misticismo, sensualidad y un toque de oscuridad, demostrando que la danza árabe es más que alegría: es un arte lleno de emoción y profundidad.
