“Portraits are a perfect way to capture the human experience,” says Janet Dawson, “because we connect to faces, read emotions, feel empathy and relate. We all react when we see depictions of fellow human beings.”
In her presentation Divas, Dames & Doñas, Dawson will share her insight into portraits exemplifying notions of lust, love, beauty and power.
Janet Dawson is a dynamic and engaging speaker whose three great passions are art, food and Mexico. She has given talks on art in Canada, England, Mexico, Switzerland and the U.S.
In September 2023, she was a featured speaker at a Meighen Forum dinner event at the internationally reknowned Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario, where she gave a deeply researched talk on Mary Shelley, Frankenstein, molecular gastronomy and art.
