She was nobody's muse
This Saturday, the screen opens like a stone garden where dreams take root.
A film by Thor Klein & Lena Vurma, based on the book by Elena Poniatowska.
Xilitla, 1946. Leonora Carrington steps into Edward James's surrealist garden and begins a journey between reality and delirium: from her aristocratic childhood in England to the Paris of the surrealists, from her love affair with Max Ernst to war, madness and exile, until she finds in Mexico the land where her imagination could bloom without limits.
A woman who refused to be a muse and became one of the most powerful and mysterious voices in 20th-century art.
Starring Olivia Vinall, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Alexander Scheer, Ryan Gage and Yoshira Escárrega
English, Spanish and French · Spanish subtitles
