Immerse Yourself in Local Creativity
by Jesús Ibarra
Join us for the MyStudio San Antonio Art Walk, an annual community event showcasing the vibrant talents of over 50 local artists. Our 2025 edition promises to be the most exciting yet, featuring 30 different locations where artists will exhibit their stunning work.
This two-day event offers a unique opportunity to explore and experience a diverse array of artistic creations while engaging directly with the talented artists themselves. From captivating sculptures and intricate ceramics to bold cityscapes, mixed media, glitter art, detailed drawings, elegant jewelry, immersive installations, and striking graphic design, there truly is something for every art lover to discover. Whether you're a seasoned art collector or a newcomer, you'll find a wealth of inspiration at every turn.
Explore and Enjoy the Art Walk
Spend your days wandering the streets of Colonia San Antonio, one of San Miguel’s more traditional neighborhoods, where you'll find artists showcasing their work in galleries, studios, and even their own homes. This is more than just an art walk—it's an interactive, citywide celebration of creativity. To guide you through this artistic adventure, we will be distributing 5,000 maps throughout the San Miguel. These maps will lead you to the featured locations, allowing you to explore at your own pace and discover hidden gems along the way.
Pick Up Your Map
Maps will be available for pick-up at various locations throughout the city, with a central distribution point at the Instituto Allende, located at Ancha de San Antonio 22. Be sure to grab one to make the most of your Art Walk experience!

Engage with the Artists
This year, in addition to viewing their works, you will have the rare chance to meet many of the artists in person. Ask questions, learn about their creative processes, and gain insight into the stories behind the pieces on display. Whether you're interested in a piece for your home or simply curious about the artistic process, the Art Walk is a chance to connect with the vibrant community of artists in San Antonio. You can start your art walk on Ancha de San Antonio, at Yam Gallery and at the Instituto Allende, with the art show of two marvelous artists, Zara Fernández M.B. and Dawn Borden. At Ancha de San Antonio 30, you may observe and buy the work of local artisans at the Rodarte Market. Then, immerse yourself in the streets of Colonia San Antonio, where you can admire the unique jewelry of Nancy Plax or Rita Sánchez, and the incredible handmade wool rugs of Margarito Jiménez; you will be able to buy the ceramics of John Campiere or Mark Andrew or the incredible bugs and saints of Mary Jane Miller. Oil painter Suzy Taylor, watercolor painters Penny Leyton, Michael Schwarcz, and Tiziana Cortese, the amazing photographer Shannon Reece, the fabulous ceramic sculpturer Ana Rivera, the interesting cubic abstract artist Kato Rempel, the multidisciplinary artists Peter A. Davis, Terry Cameron Baldwin, Leslie Amara Piper, Mary Eggers, Jimmy Hickey, Kathleen Cammarata, Glen Rogers, Lezlie Amara Piper, Mary Jane Miller, Sharon Jeffers, Nadine Gay, Alifie Rojas, Edith Robertson, Julie Palmer, and many more, will be part of this amazing art experience. Visit their homes and studios, meet them in person and admire their art. You will love them.
