April 12th is the 13th Anniversary of our local indie filmmaker DaVida Sal debut film and Opera Prima: SAVING ISIS made in 2012 in Santa Fe, NM, SF, Madrid and Tarragona while her parents were dying of cancer.
On Saturday April 12th at 5pm at Salon Semilla in Mercado Sano, DaVida will also show a preview of her most recent work: LECHE ROJA, an original vampire series made in San Miguel de Allende.
SYNOPSIS:
"I chose my life before I was born. I don't know how or why, I just sense that it's this way..." With these words, we begin a journey into the depths of the protagonist's mind. Eva Moon is one of the few survivors of a post-apocalyptic New Mexico in 2015. Her world is lonely and hostile. The only idea that obsesses her is to be with her deceased parents again. As a child, she was sent to live in Spain, and when she returned to the United States, she only found death and destruction. Eva has lost the will to live her reality and clings to a world of dreams where anything is possible. But as much as she doesn't want to return to her miserable life, she is condemned to live it. As the prologue says, she chose her life before she was born. Eva will understand that her destiny is already marked."
Saving Isis is more relevant now than ever. In this journey into the unconscious mind, crossing the line between Life and Death, you will experience a fest for all senses. The Cinematography and soundtrack are mesmerizing. I was blessed by Isis herself to have a Dream Team that believed in my vision and gave nothing but their very best.
