I am having an open studio beginning this Saturday called “Tarantula”. It is my new series in progress intended for the Fall Season. Tarantula opens this Saturday October 24th from 12noon to 5pm at Galeria Nepantla, Pablo Yañez 9 Independencia in San Miguel de Allende. It will continue thru November and end on 5pm on November 14th.The tarantula is a large furry spider original to Mexico, known in Nahuatl, as Tōcatl. Because tarantulas reside underground in burrows rather than in elevated aerial webs, in Mesoamerican cultures, they were strongly associated with the deep earth, darkness, and the underworld, Mictlan. If you are unable to attend this Saturday you can visit by appointment by direct message thru whatsapp +52 415 196 7200 or thru email at isis@isisrodriguez.com
