Presently I have the honor of participating in a group show at the Gallery Interseccion entitled Terrae Motus. The exhibit focuses on the distress and devastation resulting from earthquakes in Mexico.
Since I don't normally paint narratives or theme pieces it presented quite a challenge. I started out from a narrative perspective, but ultimately decided to focus on the emotional aspect. I have combined the organic and the structural elements in hope of creating that moment of chaos and destruction that must occur simultaneously when one is trapped in a structural nightmare.
