In a world where spiritual connections seem to fade amidst haste and modernity, "In the Flow" emerges as a poetic reminder of the deep roots we share with the sacred. This new exhibition by international artist Glen Rogers invites us to pause, breathe, and contemplate the essence of the divine feminine—that energy that nurtures, transforms, and gives life from the dawn of humanity.
The exhibition brings together monumental charcoal and oil pieces alongside more intimate ceramic sculptures and monoprints. Glen Rogers, who has traveled in various corners of the world, captures not only her technical mastery but also her profound spiritual quest in her work.
Inspired by pilgrimages to sacred sites such as the Temple of Knossos in Crete, Newgrange in Ireland, and Aphrodisias in Turkey, Glen incorporates ancestral symbols such as the spiral, the moon, the lotus flower, and the serpent into her work. These elements, rich in history and meaning, weave stories about regeneration, fertility, and the mysteries of life. "In the Flow" is not just an art exhibition; it's an experience that connects the viewer to the matriarchal past of our cultures and invites reflection on the role of the feminine in the present.
"Honoring the sacred feminine has been a constant in my artistic work, but today, amidst so many global changes, I feel this message is more relevant than ever," says Glen. Her work, exhibited in museums and galleries across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, has consistently been celebrated for its ability to convey strength and sensitivity. Now, from her studio in San Miguel de Allende, Glen shares this collection that is both an homage and an invitation to reconnect with the divine in our everyday lives.
The exhibition, with free admission, offers a unique opportunity to discover how art can serve as a bridge between history and the present, between the tangible and the spiritual. "In the Flow" not only highlights the excellence of an international artist who has made San Miguel her home but also reinforces the importance of keeping traditions and deep connections alive in an ever-changing world.
Allow yourselves to flow with the stories, symbols, and energies that this exhibition has to offer. "Art reminds us of who we are and where we can go." - Glen Rogers
