My name is Alejandro García.
Since I was little, I have been very drawn to the artistic, especially dance.
I have been in several dance groups,
both ballroom dance and traditional dances.
I dance for the pleasure of feeling the rhythm of the drum music.
That feeling when you can no longer continue, but when you hear another song, it fills you with joy and you push past your limits with another song and another, even though you know that the next day you won’t be able to take another step
and you will be very tired.
But in the moment when you hear the rhythms and see your companions motivated, you are inspired and inspire others with joy.
It is important to me
because you feel free,
you focus on your steps, you concentrate, it makes you forget problems, the bad thoughts in your mind, and what remains is only the happiness of dancing. You leave everything behind in that instant to take one more step and feel that freedom of dance.
You don’t care if they see you or not,
if they criticize how you dance or your clothing, you know you are giving your best and
one is free in that moment called dance.
