Artist Statement – "My Trips to the Moon"

"My Trips to the Moon" is a reflection of my personal connection with the Moon and the inner states it awakens within me. For me, the Moon is not only a celestial body but also a companion, a mirror, and a source of constant inspiration. It represents a quiet force that sustains my creativity and guides me into moments of reflection and imagination.

In this work, I see myself as both the stone and the traveler — grounded yet drawn upward. The Moon accompanies me, lifting me into a state where I feel as if I float. It is within this sensation of floating, between earth and sky, that inspiration emerges.

These trips to the Moon are not physical journeys but emotional and creative passages. They are moments when I enter a state of deep inspiration that reconnects me with myself and opens a space where ideas, images, and forms can be created freely.

Through this body of work, I invite viewers to reflect on their own inner landscapes — the places where imagination, memory, and emotion meet. Just as the Moon influences tides, it also moves something within us, gently guiding us toward creativity, introspection, and transformation.

HEALY Contemporáneo welcomes the return of Patricia Garcia for her third solo exhibition, Mis Viajes a La Luna. The year has already been a busy one for Garcia, following her recent exhibition Fertile Moon at Galerie XII in Bergamot Station, Santa Monica, CA, and participation in a women's collective exhibition in Madrid, Spain.
